Cats on the Bed

Cats on the Bed presents two dozing felines sprawled across a richly patterned bedcover. A tortoiseshell cat curls up at the top in black, white, and warm brown, while her sister with russet and charcoal patches reclines below; teal and gold motifs punctuate the surface, offering lively contrast to the gentle illustrated forms. The composition conveys a quiet, domestic mood through relaxed poses and subtle texture.

An acrylic on paper painting by Mary Stubberfield.
