Rooted in a childhood love for the countryside, Sarais turned her lifelong passion for nature into a full-time career in 1983 after years of teaching art. Based in Warwickshire, she captures the spirit of British wildlife, as well as the elegance of domestic and big cats, using papercut, acrylic, and pastel. Her studio work relies on quick field sketches and observations gathered from the wild landscapes of Scotland, Northumberland, and her local countryside.
