Meet The Racer, a colourful tabby with places to be and absolutely no intention of walking there. Black, orange, green and yellow stripes flow through her coat as she races along, her gold whiskers catching the light. I’ve let the wet watercolours mingle on the handmade paper, creating new colours and unexpected patterns that give her a lively sense of movement.
The paper’s natural deckled edges add to the loose, playful feel. A joyful painting for anyone who knows the thunder of paws when their cat suddenly discovers an urgent appointment in another room.
