Something Is Off

'Something Is Off' uses humour to explore the power of intuition. The cat’s exaggerated, wide?eyed expression adds a comical twist, capturing that familiar moment when something simply feels… off. Layered acrylic, mixed media textures, glitter, and foils create a lively, sparkling surface that amplifies the cat’s quirky alertness. The piece encourages viewers to trust their instincts — even the funny, fleeting ones — and recognise when a situation doesn’t quite smell right. Through colour, texture, and playful character, the painting celebrates the subtle, often amusing signals that guide our judgement.

A mixed media painting by Keeley Robinson.
