I See You

In this close up study of a domestic cat’s eyes, I wanted to recreate a range of complex textures, including glass-like reflections, rich iris gradients and fine fur details, together with numerous variations in luminous depth. For me, the eyes convey the emotion in any portrait!

A coloured pencil painting by Helen Turkdogan.
