This is an African caracal, a wildcat native to Africa, a very agile, beautiful cat, the fastest of the smaller African wildcats. Caracals are supreme hunters, this is due to their sandy-coloured coat providing camouflage and stiff fur cushioning their foot pads, making them almost silent hunters. I love their tufts on the tips of their ears.
