With this piece my intention was to depict a down trodden yet street savvy cat, with a familiar look that tells the viewer that this cat has certainly seen a thing or two in his time in the alleys but behind a tough exterior can hide the desire to be loved. Framing the piece in a gold frame was a deliberate choice as even the scruffiest of creatures should be treated like royalty, and appearances can be deceiving.
