Patricia Mooney S.O.F.A.
My work consists mostly of pet portraiture and Irish landscapes. I have always had a passion for painting animals particularly cats. From the mischievous to the the majestic they quite simply make me laugh. Their quirky independent nature make them ideal subjects to paint.
I paint in a variety of mediums but I especially love to use acrylics and chalk pastels. The acrylic based paints allow me to produce both fine detail or a flat graphic style as seen in ‘Bastet Still Reigns’. I love pastels for their vibrancy and depiction of fur. As well as being a full member of S.O.F.A. I am a full member of the Pastel Society of Ireland and exhibit at the Royal Ulster Academy Of Arts.
