Jacqueline A. Gaylard S.O.F.A.
Jacqueline is a professional artist and lives with her family in East Devon. She studied Graphic Design and soon after her training decided to convert her true passion, painting, into a full-time career in 1996.
Jacqueline always tries to sketch from life to gather as much information about colour and form. Photography also aids the research process, for animals never stay still for long!
She paints a wide variety of subjects, but animals are one of her favourites, whether wild or domestic. She especially enjoys painting cats, and as a member of the Society of Feline Artists (S.O.F.A), she has the opportunity to explore the joys of portraying the complex feline form.
She has produced work through the Commissions department of The Federation of British Artists at Mall Galleries, London and exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She is also a fellow member of The Wildlife Art Society International (FWASI).
