This painting was inspired by that delicate space where shadow meets sunlight, and where the wild meets the built environment. The contrasts of light and dark felt fitting for a species that exists between two worlds: resilient enough to adapt, yet still vulnerable to the loss of connected natural spaces.

Every time I encounter a story of a caracal thriving on the fringes of an urban environment, I am reminded that conservation is not only about protecting distant wilderness. It is also about creating room for wildlife to persist alongside us, and ensuring that the borders between our worlds do not become barriers. Their ability to adapt is remarkable, but adaptation should never be mistaken for abundance.

It was love at first sight. I did not even look at the rest of the exhibition. I bought it immediately. I received it in less than a week. It was exactly as in the picture I saw online. No disappointment there, even better as I could see all of the details from up close. It was the best well packaged I have ever seen with a lovely personal touch of Martii Heyns that left me a card with a nice word with the certificate of authenticity. I was given the tracking by Federal Express, the artist and the Society of Feline Artist (3 times better than none). It was a great experience and I can't wait to have it framed and on my wall
