Do Not Disturb

'Do Not Disturb' portrays a resting tiger whose peaceful stillness carries an underlying tension. Built from layered acrylic, textured mixed media, glitter, and foils, the surface shimmers with quiet energy, hinting at the animal’s potential to react at any moment. This contrast invites viewers to reflect on the importance of respecting personal boundaries. Calmness does not imply openness, and stillness is not an invitation. The tiger’s poised yet restful state becomes a reminder that every individual holds an inner threshold, urging us to remain mindful of the space others need and the consequences of crossing it.

A mixed media painting by Keeley Robinson.
