Patricia Clements S.O.F.A.
Patricia has always painted ever since as a little girl, her aunt gave her a small paint box. Patricia gained a scholarship to The West Sussex College of Arts and Crafts and went on to study painting and life painting at The Central School of Art. She was influenced by Bruce Barnden, her Art Master at school. Then by Lesley Cole, Head of Painting at The Central School of Art, and lastly by the French Impressionists.
Working in oils and latterly pastels, producing still life’s, landscapes and after having visits from the cat next door -cat portraits. Patricia was recently made a member of the Society of Women Artists and the Society of Feline Artists, where she has won awards. She has had also had several of her paintings in the RA Summer exhibition. Her work is in many collections ranging from the UK to New York and the Far East.“I paint still life’s where I often incorporate cats as they quite often creep into the still Life and won’t budge!"
Patricia lives in Twickenham. She has painted many local scenes of Richmond and Twickenham and of course local cats.
