siberian-summer
Siberian Summer

A group portrait of a Siberian tiger and her three cubs. This is the largest colour pencil painting I have done and took over three months constant work to complete. I couldn't even count the actual hours. The reference material used is my own.

On the 23rd December many year ago I spent hours waiting for these cubs to appear from their den at Marwell zoo. It was so cold but just before closing they appeared. I had about 30 minutes watching them play, it was such a special time. I have painted the mother and cubs separately many times over the years. However this is the first time I have put them all together and in a scene more fitting to Siberian tigers in summer.

A colour pencil painting by Ann Squire

Details:

Medium: Colour Pencil on acid free mountboard.

Size: 32 x 23 inches

Framed: Framed and mounted

Frame Size: 42.5 x 34 inches

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2863/1070/files/AnnSquire_Ann-Squire-Siberian-Summer-Colour-Pencil-3550.00_1_651c98fd-a88e-48e0-9397-913489c50d0b.jpg?v=1791826567
